, you are, I'm sorry to say, disappointing me with each new day...I miss the old Roguey we at the SJ! LJ could share a laugh with, see some fab art, including that of the pr0ny nature, some sketches, some full color. Hell, I miss your old wry sense of humor, but you've gotten so morally upstanding, it kinda makes me sad. Now, I understand that you want to clean out the old art stuff that's, you know, awful or amateurish (as in, no real effort was put into it), and branch out on your own, but to tell us fans that our comments mean nothing to you and don't help you improve? That's just cold. It really is. Doing fanart is just as good as doing original art. In many ways, it lets you branch out your own style by practicing with someone else's characters (this is how I see it, thus why I draw it. Doesn't mean I'm a one-trick pony.). Hell, some people just plain LIKE fanart, I've been drawing fangirlish SJ! stuff for close to a year, and quite frankly, who cares what other people say? I'm happy with it, screw you other people who claim I'm a Mary-sue or some shit, because I'm NOT, and to those of you who might like it, props to ya.

But seriously, rogue, I loved your art. I regret not getting all those old sketches you once had in your Photobucket that we could access in LJ. I'd like to message you for them, but I doubt you still have them, and that makes me very sad. Art is still art, a style is still a style. Like Keith Richards, you get good by copying the greats. You might not like what I'm saying, but I still think you have so much potential still to be accessed via your penchant for fanart.

However, another thing comes to mind. Moral changes? I just don't know where your sudden dislike of gore, porn, and some kind of religious obligation comes from. I mean...it just doesn't make sense how an artist like yourself, especially an "emo death nazi" and "H/C whore" like you described yourself as, could suddenly turn off from gore and violence. As far as I know, you still support H/C, but now you're claiming not to want to do gory pics in commissions. Your writing has also become seriously toned down, your fics are no longer nearly as...extreme, for lack of a better term, as they used to be. Although Fever made me cry, it wasn't nearly as descriptive as, oh, say, One Chance was. One Chance flowed with suspense, with a nail-biting edge. Fever kinda shuffled, you know, in with a bang, out with a whimper? Chance was the bang, Fever was the whimper.

Rogue, please, I'm begging you, since you've changed, your work has not gotten better as you had hoped, to me, it's gotten worse.

Please, reconsider your gallery cleanout and some of the choices you've made. If not for your fans, for yourself, at least.

Or at the very least, hunt down those ancient SJ! sketches and send them to me for my collection.
